Prestižni teniski turnir French Open verovatno će biti emitovan u najboljem mogućem tehničkom kvalitetu - u 8K Ultra HD rezoluciji. Tehnički testovi za emitovanje u ovom formatu već su u toku na Eutelsat Hot Bird satelitu na 13 °E. Za Franch Open (Roland Garros) testovi distribuiraju u 8K, besplatano na fr 11.219 GHz. DVB-S2 multipleks uključuje jedan kanal koji se zove Roland Garros 8K emituje u UHD / 8K u rezoluciji 7680 x 4320 u HEVC (H.265). Kanal trenutno sadrži 8K promotivne spotove koji sadrže snimke prirode i životinja. Otvorenje French Open-a traje od 26. maja do 9. juna 2019. godine. Tehnički parametri - Roland Garros 8K: Hot Bird (13°E), Fr.11.219/H, SR 27500, FEC 9/10, DVB-S2 / 8PSK, FTA -video 65,2 Mbit/s, audio 275 kbit /s(AAC).
